Emotional Freedom Technique and the Specific Points to Tap

The key to tapping is to work your way from the upper body going down. Remember that when applying these methods, never to tap a point that is over the last one you worked on. It is important to maintain an ordered sequence in the whole process. Working your way on the person's head, use your two hands. Remember that they are placed back to back. As you move on, carry on with 5 tap execution on the head's center portion. Tapping should commence the whole session observing the proper force to apply. Mild tapping is not recommended. But this does not mean that you need to the tapping so hard or else marks will be left and you will get hurt. Balanced finger tapping would be best.

When you start, do it from the top of the head, moving across the eyebrows. As you do that, remember that you are moving towards the area where both your eyebrows meet, close to your nose. After working in that area, traverse on the side of your eye. You should tap there five times. When reaching the peak point in that area, tap. Keep a mental affirmation, silently or aloud.

When you are done on this part, tap the portion under the eye and the area beneath the nose. Keep in mind that the tapping applied above the head, eyebrows, and sides of the eye and under it must be done on both sides. When you are tapping below the nose, it should be in the middle or center part using your one hand. When moving towards the chin, the same should be done. Then move to the collar bone area with your two hands moving backward.

There are times that you are instructed to tap under the arms. However, this is not referring to the arm pit area. Rather, this is referring to that area just on the same level as the nipples and below the arm pit four inches. Tapping concludes on the wrist area. Do taps at the inside center of both wrists. This will require you to position both palms facing each other but turning them oppositely.

All these steps follow a sequence based on specific meridians tapped for EFT, while consistently uttering pronouncements. Meridians are fixed and the rhythm of the tapping may only differ on the EFT instructor. Just find the one that works well for you.

Exercising Emotional Freedom Technique also known as EFT, a person needs to warm-up by tapping. This is standard process since it follows a sequence for the wellness of the whole body. The index or pointing finger and middle finger are only the two fingers being used in performing EFT. The process of tapping has many benefits and is very effective as well. The first step in EFT is to know where the tapping should be applied, how long, and strength of the force that you apply. Once these are present, tapping technique won't be so complicated.
