Top 5 Rules of a Pub Crawl

By Brad Wilson

It's finally arrived. Yes, it wasn't a typo. Perhaps tonight is the pub crawl you have been waiting for since. You are so happy you can't wait to experience it. You have gotten every other thing arranged including making those ritual wake-up call to remind your friends that the day has finally arrived.

A pub crawl experience can make your day. However, there are certain rules that every pub crawl attendee must follow in order to ensure they truly have fun. Without these rules, you may never wish yourself something like a pub crawl before.

Rules You Should Follow On A Bar Crawl

Do Something Different- While it may seem like a bar crawl is just an opportunity for excess, it really isn't. Bar crawl is meant to make you have fun and try new things. After all, if you simply want to get drunk, one bar will do just fine. This is an opportunity for you to meet new people, have fun together and play games. If the crawl offers pictures, then don't hesitate to be part of it. A crawl is all about variety, so take advantage of it!

Pace Yourself When You Can- Most people are so much excited during a crawl that they get drunk at the first stop. This way, they are left passed out in the bus or miserable all night. If you really want to enjoy yourself, allow yourself time to enjoy each location and each drink. You need to keep it together and not drink to senselessness at the first stop!

Eat- You will possibly have a free food at offer by your pubcrawl. So why not try a bit? While you shouldn't try those large meals, you can always use appetizers to inhibit your stomach from absorbing way too much alcohol so you can stay alert all night.

Drink... Water?- Alcohol dehydrates you, so it is essential to drink a few glasses of water between each of your beers. Taking water will also help to clean your palate so you can have the taste of each beer.

Keeping it moderate- When trying new drinks at the various bars you will be attending, see if the pubs you visit offer any samples or small servings of their drinks. This will prevent you from becoming too inebriated too quickly and will allow you the opportunity to try several different types of drinks that the house offers without overdoing it.

While going on a pub crawl may be an exciting and fun idea, you must make sure you follow these simple, but effective rules. This will help you to have more fun and ensure that your night is worthwhile.
