You've probably been the victim of rumors about something; these are no different with health and fitness. Myths often occur when the person doesn't get the whole tip before sharing with someone else on and on and on it goes truthful or not it's still a rumor. Maybe they even didn't hear it right. But they innocently tell something they know, and another myth is born, again. There is a greater likelihood that we will accept something as truth if we sense the person saying it is in some position to know, or has some authority. It is an urban myth that crunches will help you rid fat in your midsection. You have to see this, the infomercial said that you could lose your belly fat just by using some whiz bang ab blaster dissolver vaporizer thing. Your percentage of body fat is reflected on your belly fat. You will see your ab muscles, once you lose enough fat so your abs become visible again.

The only real way to get results is with the no pain, no gain rule. Don't believe it, you don't need to hurt to lose weight. There are many big differences between gaining aerobic benefit and working with serious pain. If you experience pain after a workout that doesn't go away or only appears to be getting worse, stop doing the activity. If you are injured, then continuing to exercise will only increase the severity of your injury.
