Ways An Ayurveda Test Can Stabilize Bodily And Mental Health

By Benjamin Adams

An ayurveda test is developed to help people to narrow down their personalities and body types, or doshas, Every dosha comes with weaknesses and more effective cures. Three doshas exist, but ten combinations form a more varied representation of health and behavior. Those who are aware of their exact combination, or prakriti, can better cope with developing their mental, spiritual and physical health, and gain more balanced relationships.

Individual doshas need unique diets. Adapting one's meal plan to one that is suitable to one's dosha helps to enhance health. Energy is also maximized when the right eating plan and lifestyle is established. Imbalance in the mind and body can make one prone to illness.

Tests to establish body type vary. Some are intricate, with a great number of questions about physical symptoms. Simpler tests only consist of ten questions about physical symptoms. Other questionnaires focus on personality and mental health, and others assess both nature and physicality together.

In Ayurveda, each individual is believed to have a unique balance of three doshas. Everyone has a dominant body type. Balance needs to be achieved between the three types by eating and living in a way that is most appropriate to one's constitution.

Vata doshas tend to be small framed, sensitive and imaginative. They feel most comfortable in tropical weather and their skins can become dry. To gain a balance, Vatas should omit stress from their lives. When Vatas feel they have control over their achievements, they remain healthy. When they lose control, they have a tendency to lose weight and their digestive systems become unhealthy.

Vatas love change. Their tendency towards racing thoughts can make them highly energetic. They should keep themselves calm and warm, as they can react negatively to the cold. Ayurvedic Indian head massage that is performed daily using sesame and almond oils can raise their temperatures. When they have energy, they should use light flexibility training.

Pittas have ordinary builds, ruddy complexions and highly competitive characters. They have excellent appetites and should eat a diet that includes an even balance of the five tastes. Pittas don't manage well on low calorie meal plans. Instead, their diets should balance proteins, grains, fruit, and vegetables.

Pittas favor sweet and bitter tastes, but spicy meals can make them overheat. Chilies, salsas and peppers can raise their temperatures uncomfortably. They need to eat freshly prepared foods. Because they have strong digestive systems, they can often handle raw foods, but should avoid them if they cause constipation. Other body types don't handle raw foods as well as Pittas do.

Pittas are believed to need restraint because they are intense personalities. Their fiery traits need to be reduced by eliminating exposure to heat. They need to stay physically cool and avoid foods that cause overheating. Heated conversations should also be avoided.

Kaphas tend to develop imbalances of their bodily fluids, which can cause concentration problems and illness. This body type is prone to depression, but Kaphas are also calm, patient and forgiving. An ayurveda test is the first step to a more balanced lifestyle.
