Your Best Life Begins With Personal Spiritual Growth

By Zoe Smith

I don't know about you but I think that no matter how relatively good your life may seem at the moment-you always want a little bit more. Now as long as you don't take it to the extreme, this is not a bad thing. I mean, be content but never satisfied-this is what will keep you reaching beyond your grasp and reaching higher heights. This sounds good but how do we do this? All your heart's desire begins with personal spiritual growth.

How is my spiritual condition any relevant to my personal development? Everything. Even the people from earlier centuries recognized their need to improve their life and they have done so by making sure that they get deeply involved in enhancing their spiritual life. Think about it, there wasn't any self-help gurus before to point people what is the right way in life? What they had were guides and teachers who taught them how to reach their fullest potential by tapping into the unlimited Source of power Himself.

So what do we do to establish a good spiritual personal development plan? Before anything else, you must realize that you are created for a purpose. There is a reason why you are alive on earth at this time. What is it? Your specific talents and characteristics is a good indication of what it is. What are you passionate about? What do you do that gives you joy? Find out your strengths, weaknesses, passion and beliefs to point you to what God wants to make of your life.

Why is it important to know your purpose? When you know why you are here for, you will take out unnecessary things from your life. It's not just the bad things that need pruning away. Sometimes you need to give up the good things in order to make room for the best things. As you go along life, always keep a positive, healthy attitude. You will make mistakes and trials will come your way, but don't let that define you. Make these experiences your teacher and move on immediately.

Another thing that happens when you cultivate a positive attitude is that you are attracting more good to come in your life. It's true. You will find any effective personal development plan emphasizing the need to dwell on good and expect success. This is because thoughts and emotions are vibrations and this powerful energy will seek to find things of like resonance.

Jesus, the greatest spiritual leader who ever lived was known to have said, "It is better to give than to receive." It's true. Not often do people truly appreciate this truth but if you consciously apply it in your life, you will. Give to people generously with whatever you do have-your time or talent or treasure and it will return to you pressed down, shaken together and running over.

Gratitude is the great connector that joins you to your God and the Source of all things. Strengthen that connection by purposefully finding things that you can be grateful for everyday. This is a valuable nugget that is integral in your personal spiritual growth. When you appreciate the gifts that life has for you, more gifts will come your way. Don't wait another minute- begin your amazing life today!
