How Long Is Paramedic School?

Paramedic training courses are generally long and rigorous, leaving many folks to speculate just how long it can take to finish paramedic school. And while there's little question that paramedic classes take longer to complete than ones focused on EMT training, it's hard to give an exact number of months or years it should take potential students to finish a paramedic program because it varies depending on the training program.

Still, paramedic school is normally separated into three phases: didactic, clinical, and field internships. Didactic education provides students with lectures and hands-on skills training.
