Did you start to lose weight, once on your new health plan, and then hit a barrier, known as a weight loss plateau? Sometimes "instant" weight loss diets are only instant, meaning they are not meant for long term.
After losing some quick weight to prove to you that you can, you may not see your weight continue to go down.
You obviously have to make some sort of change otherwise you will not lose more weight, but what do you do?
The thing with finding a diet and exercise routine that works is that the body will become used to it and you need to make changes to keep the body guessing, that way it will not become comfortable and settle.
A couple of ways to get out of the weight loss plateau:
Your metabolism will descend to a very low level if you eat low calorie foods, so stop counting calories. If the amount of calories in the food is low, then your metabolism will not have to work so hard to get rid of the calories that you consume.
You need to eat normally so that your body has to keep up a high metabolism and therefore be burning off the fat your body has stored.
Also, if you exercise more and/or change what exercise you do, then you will lose more weight. Rather than worry about how tiring exercise can be, focus on what you will gain from doing it. Anything worth having is worth putting in the effort to get.
Exercise will also increase your metabolism so will create a long-term way to lose weight rather than just burning off calories short term by going for a run.
If you take these methods up, it will help you to overcome the weight loss plateau you have hit.
