hCG or Qsymia

By Jon F Greene

After 13 long years, the FDA has finally approved a new weight loss drug, Qsymia for the first time. However, the efficacy of Qsymia in causing weight loss is highly debated by the researchers when compared to the most effective, prescription hcg diet plan. Apart from causing a pronunciation difficulty, Qsymia is clinically proven by research studies that it is least effective in promoting weight loss when compared to the prescription hCG diet. Moreover, the subjects on hCG diet rapidly lose weight for up to 1 pound per day whereas those on Qsymia not only lose weight slowly but also lose just 1.9 pounds per month.

In fact, HCG diet is followed by majority of people from past 5 decades and it is one among the natural way of losing weight than prescription weight loss medication. HCG diet plan was usually discovered by the popular endocrinologist, Dr. A Simeons in 1954. He has contributed more by performing the hcg related research before implementing the weight loss plan to the public. He introduced the hcg diet plan to cause faster weight loss in a shorter duration of time. Moreover, the plan is safe and absolutely free from side effects as it doesn't provide any opportunity for experimenting on humans.

HCG or Human chorionic gonadotropin is a hormone that is naturally synthesized by the placenta of the pregnant woman and it burns the fat reserve for energy rather than muscle. It is a vital component that feeds and modulates the development of the embryo. Moreover, the prescription HCG diet plan is FDA approved and can be used to treat infertility in women and boys presenting with delayed puberty. HCG is the most recommended diet plan that is well-known for its efficacy compared to prescription weight loss pills.

In contrary, Qsymia is a new prescription weight loss drug that has been recently approved by the FDA. Qsymia is usually prescribed for weight loss and it contains a unique blend of two different chemicals. It consists of a combination of phentermine (which was previously used in the weight loss pill, fen-phen) and topiramate (an anti- seizure drug prescribed for epileptic cases).

One should be advised to avoid self-medicating any prescription weight loss pill just because it is an FDA approved drug. Qysmia diet medication is known to cause serious side effects and it is a known fact that all side effects are patient-specific. Therefore, consumers should obtain prior advice from the physician and should take the pill only after thoroughly researching the important drug safety information from the Qsymia product website.

WebMD reports that the topiramate medicine used in Qsymia causes weight loss by creating a feeling of stomach fullness, loss of taste or appeal while taking food and by increasing the calorie exertion. Statistics reveal that patients on prescription Qsymia can't attain remarkable weight loss. The researchers have reported treating the patients with the highest dose of Qsymia for 12 months along with placebo resulted in only about 6.7 percent to 8.9 percent of the total weight. Therefore, a 300 pound person only loses around 1.9 pounds in 30 days and a 170 pound woman loses around 1.1 pound in 30 days.

Although, Qsymia does not contribute to profound weight loss, however the drug side effects like making the food appear less appealing or tasteless, and an anti-seizure drug to treat obesity are of major health concern. In contrary, Prescription hCG is a natural substitute produced by the human placenta which promotes fast weight loss and it causes no serious, unnatural side effects.

Additionally, prescription hcg diet is less likely to cause serious complications and a right plan can be followed to achieve one's weight loss goal within a shorter time frame. To contrast between hcg and Qsymia, the hcg diet plan helps to overcome obesity whereas the Qsymia prescription diet pill contains an anti-seizure drug that works best for treating epilepsy.

In conclusion, prescription hcg plan is the most effective weight loss plan if you are willing to shed large pounds of weight in a safe and healthy manner. Moreover, HCG plan helps to lose around 1 pound of weight within 24 hours, whereas the Qsymia prescription pill helps to lose just 1.1 pound in 30 days duration.
