NordicTrack 30-Minute Workout for Cardiovascular Fitness

NordicTrack is a leading exercise equipment manufacturer. It produces a broad line of exercise machines, but is best known for its cross-country ski simulators. Working out on this machine can tone the entire body, strengthen the heart and improve cardiovascular fitness without placing undue stress on the joints.

NordicTrack 30 Minute Workout Routine

The University of South Carolina recommends a quick, 30-minute routine for the NordicTrack. Start with a 5 minute warm up, with the machine's resistance set to zero. Next, speed up until you hit your target heart level. Stay in this zone forthe next 20 minutes while you vary your speed, resistance and elevation. Finally, cool down for the last five minutes with little resistance and lower speed. Do not just stop, make sure you cool down! You can take advantage of this cool down period to do some head and shoulder rolls, as recommended by the university.
